The Six ACFT Events Explained

Six ACFT events are worth 100 points, and all the events have 600 points. Thus, you must have a minimum of 360 scores to pass this test. All the combat army test events are different in time duration and fitness. So, to pass the ACFT test, you must be aware of the events, their scores, time duration, and fitness level requirements.
ACFT Events

3 Repetition Maximum Deadlift

Due to the hex bar equipment, a three-repeat maximum deadlift is also known as the ACFT deadlift hex bar. Most test holders consider this event tougher than others due to the heavyweight and fitness requirements.
The hex bar consists of 60 pounds of weights, which the person must lift in 3 repetitions. After completing 3 repetitions, scores will be assigned. This event counts the person’s strength.
Standing Power Throw

In this event, a person throws the medicine ball backward while standing straight. The purpose of the standing power throw is to assess a person’s physical fitness.
A person must throw the 10-pound, heavy medicine ball backward a certain distance. The distance covered by the ball and its throwing speed will determine the scores for this event.
Hand Release Push-ups

This event shows the person’s upper body strength without using any equipment. Hand-release push-ups are much harder than simple push-ups, so obtaining maximum scores in this event is also challenging.
No equipment is needed for the hand-release push-up event of ACFT, and in this event, a person has to do push-ups by releasing their hands. To pass out this event, a person should do maximum push-ups within a limited time duration.
Sprint – Drag – Carry

The sprint drag carry event tests a person’s strength and endurance. It is less difficult than other events and gives maximum scores.
This event requires a 90-pound sled and a 40-pound kettlebell. The weights must be lifted by moving backward, and the lifting speed will determine the scoring.
Plank Or Leg Tuck

A plank is also termed a leg tuck and ensures the person’s strength and endurance.
In this event, a person has to pull up the bar with legs in the correct position, and the scores will be assigned on the basis of correct plan repetitions within a duration.
Two-Mile Run

The easiest event of the ACFT is the mile run, which gives maximum scores. In this event, participants run only and demonstrate their cardiovascular endurance and stamina.
In this event, no equipment is required. The participant must run for 2 miles within a limited duration and earn high scores.
